Antonio Barbieri

Antonio Barbieri (Rho, 1985) graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. After several years of experimentation in different fields, including set design, and an intense activity in workshops specialising in the production of stone and bronze sculptural works, he moved to Grosseto, in Maremma, where he lives and works. Fascinated by new technologies, he concentrates on their application in artistic practice. This acts as a breeding ground for the conception of his works, and the resulting subjects range from the representation of hypothetical organisms to the study of fractal rules applied to nature. His research aims to analyse the changes in life forms, the way they structure and modify themselves over time. He teaches 3D modelling and 3D printing and collaborates with various national and international organisations.
